Day 0: Dhaka to Khagrachhari
- 8:00 to 10:30 pm: Board an overnight bus from Dhaka. The ride takes about 7 to 9 hours.
Day 1: Khagrachhari to Sajek
- 6:00 to 7:00 am: Reach Khagrachhari, freshen up and have breakfast. If you need a room for a few hours, start with the Khagrachhari district hotel list (opens in a new tab).
- 8:00 am: Meet your reserved Chander Gari and leave for Baghaihat through Dighinala (opens in a new tab). Carry your ID for the checkpoint.
- About 10:30 am: Join the morning convoy to Sajek. Confirm the time with your driver the day before.
- Around midday: Reach Sajek, check in and have lunch.
- Afternoon: Walk Ruilui Para and the nearby viewpoints.
- Before sunset: Find an open viewpoint and stay until the light fades.
- Evening: Have dinner. If you want bamboo chicken, order it ahead.
Day 2: Sajek to Dhaka
- Before sunrise: Walk to the helipad viewpoint, and check the sky for clouds.
- 7:00 am: Have breakfast.
- 8:00 am: Only if you're ready to walk fast, try Konglak Hill. The walk is reported at 30 to 45 minutes each way, so turn back in good time.
- By 10:00 am: Check out, and meet your driver for the return convoy.
- Early afternoon: Reach Khagrachhari and have lunch.
- Evening or night: Board your bus. You reach Dhaka the next morning.
