Day 0: Dhaka to Khagrachhari
- 8:00 to 10:30 pm: Board an overnight bus from Dhaka. The ride takes about 7 to 9 hours.
Day 1: Khagrachhari to Sajek
- 6:00 to 7:00 am: Reach Khagrachhari, freshen up and have breakfast. If you need a room for a few hours, start with the Khagrachhari district hotel list (opens in a new tab).
- 8:00 am: Meet your reserved Chander Gari, and carry your ID for the checkpoint.
- About 10:30 am: Join the morning convoy from Baghaihat. Confirm the time the day before.
- Around midday: Reach Sajek, check in and have lunch.
- Afternoon: Walk Ruilui Para slowly, and stay out for the sunset.
- Evening: Have dinner and, on a clear night, look at the stars.
Day 2: A Full Day on the Ridge
- Before sunrise: Go to the helipad viewpoint.
- 7:00 am: Have breakfast.
- Morning: Walk to Konglak Hill and Konglak Para, if the weather is clear. Wear shoes with grip, and ask before taking photos in the village.
- Lunch: Try local food. Order bamboo chicken ahead.
- Afternoon: Keep this free for tea, photos or rest. It's the point of the extra night.
- Evening: Watch the sunset from a different viewpoint, then have dinner.
Day 3: Sajek to Dhaka
- Before sunrise: Take your second chance at clouds and sunrise.
- 7:00 am: Have breakfast and pack.
- By 10:00 am: Check out, and meet your driver. The return convoy is reported at about 10:30 am.
- Early afternoon: Reach Khagrachhari and have lunch. With time to spare, the Khagrachhari district site (opens in a new tab) lists other places to see near the town.
- Evening or night: Board your bus. You reach Dhaka the next morning.
